Our core beliefs guide the teaching and preaching of our church. We believe that Jesus founded the church and he ultimately is the one who leads it. We desire to follow the words of Scripture so that we may be faithful to the way of Jesus. We understand that there is room for differing interpretations in what we consider secondary, but the following 7 truths are foundational to our belief system. Sovereign God

God is a Person, eternally existing, as a Trinity in unity--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--three Persons and yet one God. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, 1 Corinthians 8:6)

The Son

Jesus Christ, eternally existing, is the only begotten Son of God, who became a sinless man to redeem us. He was born of a virgin and is true God and true man. (Luke 1:30-55, John 1:1-15, Philippians 2:5-8)

The Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible was supernaturally inspired & preserved verbally without any admixture of error for its matter. We believe the Bible to be the true center of Christian union & the Supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, & opinions shall be tried. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

Man was created in the image of God but fell through sin, bringing not only physical death, but also spiritual death or eternal separation from God. Now all of mankind exists as a fallen race with an inherited sinful nature. (Genesis 2:16, Genesis 3:16-19, Romans 3:10-23, Romans 6:23)

Sacrifice of Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died as a substitutionary payment for the sins of the whole world. He physically arose from the dead and then ascended into Heaven. Simple faith in this sacrifice is the only way of salvation for mankind. (Luke 24, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 5:8-10, 1 Peter 3:18)

The local church is a group of believers baptized by water, banded together for edification, exhortation, and evangelism as commanded by Christ in the Great Commission; preaching the Gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15, 1 Corinthians 12:12, Ephesians 1:22-23)

End Times

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord. (Revelation 1:18; 3:11; 20:1-22:13)

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Doctrine is a body of teaching. Christian doctrine is the teaching found in the Bible—about who God is, who we are, why the world exists, the Gospel of Jesus; and merits careful thought because it plays a vital part in every Christian’s life.

When we receive Christ as our Savior, we were regenerated, or reborn, with the divine life of God within to become the children of God. This life operates within us through the Holy Spirit to transform us into the image of Christ and leads us  in the way of Jesus.

It is God who has a mission to set things right in a broken, sinful world, to redeem and restore it to what He has always intended. The church is God’s primary instrument sent into the world to participate in His redemptive mission.
